Corporate foresight: A systematic literature review and future research trajectories

Corporate foresight (CF) has received increasing attention from scholars and practitioners alike. Due to the environmental complexity unpredictability that corporate world is encountering, companies various sectors have realized need engage in CF mitigate uncertainty. However, current research on topic remains fragmented lacks conceptual connection. This study, therefore, aims examine extant provides a systematic insight into its key components. Through narrative synthesis of sample comprising 73 articles published over last two decades leading business management journals, we developed an integrative framework maps elements underpinning literature (including antecedents, tools/activities, moderators, technology, outcomes) explicates their interplay. We also highlighted bidirectional effect as distinct construct, across elements, discussed identify technology-related boundary conditions may influence manifestation outcomes. Moreover, utilized platform critical gaps suggest related future trajectories.
